Unique Location, Montreux Is Our Campus!

Overlooking the beautiful Lake Geneva, MBU is the perfect learning and inspiring environment. MSB is located in the French-speaking resort town of Montreux-Territet on the Swiss Riviera. Students have the opportunity to study at a school situated just a short walk from the Lake and the surrounding French and Swiss Alps.

The state-of-the-art facilities of MBU are housed in a beautiful Belle Époque building that first opened its doors as a sumptuous hotel in the 19th century. It is at this hotel, nestled on the shores of Lac Léman, at the foot of the Swiss Alps, that the Empress of Austria, Elizabeth of Wittelsbach (better known as “Princess Sissy”), often stayed whenever she came to Montreux.

Over the centuries, Montreux, with its micro-climate, majestic snow-capped mountains, terraced vineyards, palm trees, and water sports has attracted many writers and celebrities such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Ernest Hemingway, Charlie Chaplin, and Freddie Mercury.

Today, tourists still flock to Montreux every year to attend the International Jazz Festival in July or to visit the Château de Chillon, where Lord Byron carved his name on a pillar of the dungeon where the hero of his poem, “The Prisoner of Chillon”, was imprisoned. Montreux is also renowned for its fine restaurants, trendy boutiques, lively Christmas Market, and excellent hotel schools.

Montreux is the perfect living environment at all seasons: located on the shores of the breath-taking Lake Geneva, you can take a swim in the summer and enjoy the numerous ski-resorts situated in the surrounding French and Swiss Alps. Montreux, with its diversity, microclimate and spectacular landscapes has inspired many writers and celebrities such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Ernest Hemingway, Charlie Chaplin, and Freddie Mercury.

Montreux is only 60 minutes away from Geneva, the world’s eighth most important financial center, and Geneva airport which makes it easy for students to travel across Europe during their studies and discover cities such as Barcelona, Berlin, London, Paris, Rome, Milan etc. in just one or two hours by plane or even by train.
